We have been married for nine years. We both were already interested in photography in our high schools, but each of us in our own way.
Those were the times when mirror photography still reigned, and taking pictures as a hobby was only for the rich. Cameras and films were quite expensive for our parents’ pockets. Therefore our interest in photography manifested itself mainly by watching exhibitions.
We followed, as the technology developed. With our heads full of dreams we visited galleries. In 1994 we began our education in universities. Jacek, in Polytechnics in Bialystok, and I Economics in Warsaw. We studied the fields that would provide us both with self-realization at work, and with money to realize our dream – photography. We had a great access to cultural events at our University camps: bigger cities, more people with similar interests, gatherings, exchange of experience. Step by step we entered into the “ocean” of photography. We gathered at the photography meetings in Polytechnics of Bialystok. We exchanged our knowledge. Then we attended more advanced meetings in Bialystok Town Hall located on the Kosciusko’s Square, where many experienced photographers from the Zamoyski’s Society of Photographers gave us many valuable tips. At the same time Jacek took a very valuable, as it later turned out, course of Photoshop and Corel program.
And so by meeting with other people from the same branch, we realized that photography and the knowledge about it, is a “deep ocean”. Our passion, however, was so great, that we decided to pursue our dream even more. The more knowledge we gained about photography, the more photographs we took, and the more people saw our work, the more we wanted to dive in this ocean of knowledge. Twelve years have passed since we took our first step in the direction of professional photography. Now, with the whole baggage of experience and with more professional equipment, we challenge ourselves to expand our possibilities even more. We get up at 3AM just to go out in the filed and capture the amazing sights of nature. We photograph people’s happy moments: weddings, engagements, pregnancies, child births, as wells as random behaviors and events. Where people evaluate and buy our work. We also sell our photographs in the form of canvas on the following websites: www.ebay.com , www.allegro.com
In this way, we gather the necessary funds for the continuous expanding of our knowledge and for our equipment.
